• POOR CUSTOMER RELATIONS

  We were in the market for a flat screen TV and after doing some research chose to make our purchase from our local Currys on Alban Retail Park in Warrington. The TV was a 32" LG Model @ £499 and we asked about a stand. No problem said the salesman, you can have the one as on display at half price, just £75. We liked it but saw a corner stand at £59 that was more suitable and cheaper. We asked if there was any further discount or deals but were told no. We paid for our goods and on leaving the store picked up a leaflet. We assembled the stand and set up the TV and our DVD and Virgin box and settled down to enjoy the new TV and its brilliant. Anne then picked up the leaflet and spotted our TV+the £79 stand on offer for £520 ( £50 Less than we paid). I e-mailed Currys to complain and waited 2 weeks before e-mailing again. I eventually got a call from Terry at Warrington Store. He wanted me to return the stand, pick up the one in the offer, get the refund then go home and assemble the new stand and reconnect all our boxes. I would have been happy keeping the stand we had (a cheaper one) and taken a refund as they had mis-sold us by not offering the advertised deal. Terry would not budge so we lost out and neither we our our extended family will ever use Currys / Dixons again. Thank you Terry the customer dissiervice manager !!!!!
